A short film that follows a curious cat as she explores a city on one dark, tranquil, and stormy night. The short film “The Cat” was written, illustrated, edited, and all round produced by Craig Beatty.
In terms of art direction; AI is used for the voice-over narration. The animation style is based on a childhood television show I watched growing up which utilized a style known as “Picture-mation”. The style is based on and influenced by children’s story books that played music and voice lines while being read; offering readers a deeper experience.
